There are times when a studio session is perfect to photographing, and photographing a baby is just one of those times. The lighting can be perfectly controlled, you can work with the baby to capture sleep as well as awake periods and you can use very fun props and backgrounds that set the perfect scene. It is great fun to work with an infant; especially when we’re creating a portrait that will be treasured for generations. Of course, you have to have patience; not everything goes as planned, and you have to be able to go with the flow. After all, the baby is queen! Everything revolves around her. In the end, it’s worth all the trouble.
It is so very cool that we were able to photograph this particular baby; we photographed her parents’ wedding a little over a year ago. What a blessing for us!
