Bill Ledbetter, Jr.
My name is Bill Ledbetter and I’m a wedding and family photographer living in Leander, Texas and loving it. In 2007 I left my 25-year career in the design engineering and semiconductor industry to pursue photography as a more creative expression of my passions. I have done many things over the years, but I have been photographing since the early 1980′s when I got my first 35mm SLR camera. I have always enjoyed the preservation of moments in time, and now with digital imagery we can capture, manipulate and output outstanding creations of beauty with such variety and creativity. I love the possibilities.
I spend most of my photographic energies on families, kids, weddings end events, but I also shoot other things. When I don’t have anything to do, I photograph, and when I get tired of that, I love studying what other people have done and are doing in the world of photography. Many times I photograph with my daughter, Hannah, who loves to create new things all the time. We work together to make sure that interesting, important and fun moments are created and captured. As a professional, I am continually learning and interacting with other professionals so I can create the best portraits for my clients. To that end, I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America, and am currently serving as Vice President for 2012 on the board of directors for the Austin Professional Photographers Association.
